From the world of Woodland Habitat

Forest Texture Hunt

A simple little printing activity that turns a walk into a texture hunt. Children use play dough to pick up patterns from bark, leaves, sticks and other natural surfaces, then transfer those textures onto paper with an ink pad. Every print becomes a tiny record of something they noticed outside.

Head out to the forest, or really any natural environment you have nearby. A park, garden, meadow or even a leafy street can work. We call it a Forest Texture Hunt, but you absolutely do not need a forest to join in.
